Compliance Portal for MSDS and QI in Hospital Healthcare

The Government of Punjab created the Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) Act in 2010 to ensure safe and high-quality healthcare for its people, with the aim of regulating and improving healthcare standards across the province. The PHC was tasked with ensuring that all healthcare facilities, both public and private, deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care to the people of Punjab. This initiative was part of the broader effort to standardize healthcare services, promote accountability, and protect patients’ rights in the region.

The PHC’s goal is to keep improving healthcare standards across the province.

These standards were developed by Pakistani experts with help from international sources, using guidelines from countries like Australia, New Zealand, India, the UK, and Canada.

These standards were simplified and adapted to fit the local needs.

The Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS) outline the basic elements all healthcare facilities need to provide safe services.

They include standards for both patients and organizations.

These were created by local experts and are based on current research and best practices to ensure safety and manage risks in healthcare settings.
